When we start with our website or blog we will find lots of difficulty and we have a lots of questions like: Why my site have no traffic? How do I build more traffic? Why my site have no PR on Google? Where is my links on Google, Yahoo or Bing?…and many more.

Then, what we have to do?

First thing you must considering when you want to start with your presence on internet is “What do I want with my site?” If you start business and you have business name you must choose properly domain name for your business, but if you don’t have business name and just need website you must considering options to buy some old domain, maybe with page rank and back links. If you choose to do that you must find domain at least five years old and just dropped. There is some sites on net that will help you to find just dropped domain name. After you register your domain name you must choose what kind of script you want to use. If you want to use some popular script you must considering the follow this guidelines.

Your script must be:

- Simple and fast (connection with your SQL databases, must be very light),

- Script must have very good support and community,

- If you have no programmer knowledge your script must have a lots of free add-ons (like sitemap and syndicate builder), Or you can prefer to use CMS (ex: wordpress or joomla)

- Your script must be xHTML and CSS valid,

- Script must have valid title, meta name, meta description and h1 in source.

I will not suggest you any scripts because I don’t know what is your internet presence purpose but if you follow guidelines above you will find script on your own.

After you install your script and start to publish and update your script with contents you must to do something very important:

- Build your sitemap and put on Google, Yahoo and Bing webmaster tools (of course, you must sign up to webmaster tools),

- and give others permission to use your syndication.

So, finally you must do something to reach your audience. You must build your back links. How to do that?

You must follow this simple steps:

- Submit your site to Search Engines (as much as you can),

- Submit your site to SEO directories,

- Exchange your link with blogs and directory with good pagerank,

- Comment on blogs and forums with your links,

- Write your own article and submit to article directory or article distribution service,

- Advertise on Google AdWords or similar service.

If you ask me for my opinion what is the best way to promote your website I will said you that depends of your needs. But, one of must successfully, cheapest and effective way to promote your website is to write article and submit to article directory. You must find article directory with good reputation, pagerank, traffic and with fast service for review articles. You need to check article directory background.

After you sign up to article directory you must follow submission guidelines and after you submit your article you must wait a while. When article approved by editor you will got your first backlink and if some publishers reprint your article you will find more backlinks on Search Engine.
